She was one of our Rising Apprentice winners at last year’s annual CHuFT Awards – and after much hard work and studies, Rebecca Beaumont has recently started in her new role at CHFT at e-Roster Team Manager.

Rebecca picks up the story:

“I enrolled in the Future Leaders Programme (this year’s applications are still open) in 2021 after seeing the training programme advertised on our careers page.

“I also recently finished a two-year Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) accredited course and received a distinction in the Operations and Departmental Manager higher apprenticeship and an ILM Leadership and Management qualification.

“As I started the course I’d just taken a new position of Healthcare Support Worker (HCSW) Recruitment Lead, leading on the NHSE HCSW initiative.

“It has been a challenging experience but so worth it. And this month I secured the position of e-Roster Team Manager, putting into practice the skills and knowledge learnt over the last two years.”

Rebecca and Healthcare Assistant Emma Kent both picked up a Rising Apprentice award last year at our annual CHuFT Awards.

Rebecca adds: “I was honoured to be nominated for the Rising Apprentice award last year alongside so many of CHFTs amazing apprentices. It was a moment of disbelief when I won will definitely remain a career highlight for me.

“As a result of winning the category alongside Emma I’m grateful to have the opportunity to continue to champion apprenticeships within CHFT and would encourage anyone who is thinking about an apprenticeship to go for it!”

You can nominate your Rising Apprentice for our CHuFT 2023 Awards on our dedicated website. Nominations close on Sunday, 17th September.
