NHS England Director of Healthcare Inequalities, Dr Bola Owolabi, came to CHFT last week to hear about all the work we’re doing to improve health inequalities.

Deputy Chief Executive, Rob Aitchison, second from right, who has responsibilities for Health Inequalities here at CHFT, said: "Bola visited several teams to hear and learn about the work they’re doing. 

"She heard about the work that’s taken place to improve the experience of patients with learning disabilities, those accessing maternity services and also paid a visit to the BLOSM team to hear about the work they’re doing to support young people.

"During her visit she also had a discussion with chairs of the inclusion groups and the apprenticeship and Project SEARCH team.   

"Bola was amazed at the work happening here and committed to ‘pinching with pride’ the ideas and work we’re doing."
