Congratulations to our colleagues in Radiology, who have been reaccredited with the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI), after their inspection late last year.

Their assessment was particularly challenging as, not only was this the first assessment on site for more than three years, but this was the first full re-assessment for more than two years, and the team were also being assessed against two sets of standards.

After waiting on tenterhooks, they recently received confirmation that they had provided sufficient evidence to achieve full accreditation, along with approval to transition fully to the 2021 standards.

Taking part in the QSI accreditation scheme is currently an optional process, and our Radiology department has achieved accreditation status since 2011. We’re one of only 27 hospitals in England to have achieved this status, with five from the North of England.
