Finance Manager, Julie Wood, had to leave her desk to grab a tissue and compose herself after getting an email to say that she and her colleagues had been nominated for a CHuFT Award in the Work Together Get Results category.

Julie, alongside colleagues in the Medicine Division; consultants Huw Masson and Adris Razaq, General Manager Jason Bushby and Assistant Director of Finance Paula Crowther, have been working together to redesign the historic out-of-date rota in the Emergency Department.

Julie, who received the email on behalf of the team said: "To know that someone has taken the time to recognise what you're doing at work is just so lovely and totally out of the blue. I must admit that reading it made my eyes leak, it truly made my day."

Director of Operations, Helen Rees, said: “I’m so pleased the team have received this nomination. It’s so well-deserved. I’m confident that the new innovative rota will reap benefits going forward.”
