Infection Prevention and Control Nurse, Sandra Mogford, retires from the Trust this week. And her colleagues wanted to wish her farewell, saying:

"Sandra started her career at CHFT as a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) before completing her training to become a Staff Nurse.  She spent several years working on wards at CRH, particularly respiratory medicine, before joining the IPC team.

Many will know Sandra as a formidable character who would always challenge behaviour that had potential to compromise patient and staff safety.

Those lucky enough to know Sandra well, will also know she has a heart of gold paired with a wicked dry sense of humour.

We wish her a wonderful and well-earned retirement in which she plans to spend more time crafting, at which she is extremely talented, and spending more time with her grandchildren."
