Matron, Charlotte Bowdell, and Head Nurse for Urgent and Emergency Care, Tom Ladlow, are representing CHFT with NHS England as part of the clinical advisory group for urgent and emergency care.
Charlotte said: “This is a great opportunity to have CHFT voices from our clinical areas of frailty and emergency care heard. We will be able to share how passionate we are about delivering the best practice, be a voice for our CHFT patients and to have a potential influence in future local and national policies from NHS England.”
The clinical advisory group comprises of representatives from various healthcare professions who are involved in providing care to patients on urgent and emergency care pathways in hospitals and other related services. Its role is to provide evidence-based advice to ensure there is coordination of pathways, consistency of clinical practice, and to achieve the best possible outcomes and experience for patients irrespective of where their treatment and care is provided.
