Many congratulations to Occupational Therapist, Mandy Peacock, who has been selected to join a cohort of 15 Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), nurses and non-medical NHS staff on a virtual National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) First Steps into Research Programme.

The aim of the programme is to ignite interest in, gain a better understanding of, and develop skills in research.

Mandy said: “This course will provide me with an ideal opportunity to kick start (a pandemic-stalled) interest in research, whilst continuing my role as a community occupational therapist.

“We can all become very busy in our day-to-day clinical practice. If I can support accessible pathways that promote research and share new learning easily to already busy colleagues then this is a practical way that I can add value to my role whilst benefitting the therapy team.”
