Join Service Lead for Interventional Radiology, Amreet Uppal, in a Connect and Learn session as part of South Asian History Month.

Amreet will be talking about her family history and about ‘who she is.’

Her grandfather came to the UK in 1957 as part of the government’s call-out to members of the Commonwealth. He came to Birmingham with his brother, leaving behind his wife and five children, the oldest of whom was Amreet’s dad.

It was only when her grandad had earned enough money to buy a house that the rest of his family joined him.

Hear more from Amreet and her story in an MS Teams session on Thursday, 16th August between 13:00 and 14:00.

Email raceequalitynetwork@cht.nhs.uk for the meeting invite to join Amreet alongside Colleague Engagement Advisor, Carys Bentley, pictured.
