Colleagues on Ward 19 have waved a fond farewell to Ward Manager, Mandy Naylor, who retired last week, before returning to work with the Dementia Team.

Mandy began her training in 1989 when she started her career on Ward 11 as a newly qualified nurse.

She then moved to SAU in 1998 and has held various posts before becoming Ward Manager on Ward 19 in 2017.

Sister, Aimee Justice, said: “The whole of the ward will miss her – she has been a well-loved manager with super-strength hearing as her special power! We wish her well in her new job role.”

Colleagues took to Facebook to share their messages too, with Matron, Karen Farrar, writing: "The staff and patients are without doubt enriched and very fortunate to have you lead by example the fabulous team on Ward 19."
