The time has come for this year’s DFN Project SEARCH interns to graduate, and they will be at Calderdale College on Thursday 29th June in the Dance Studio at 1pm to celebrate their successful year. Please feel free to come and join them.

Job Coach, Tracey Thompson, said: “The group have changed so much since starting with us in September 2022, when we had four quiet interns join us, plus Josh and Matt – more on them below.

“We now have four confident young adults ready to move into the world of paid employment leaving us. Well, we say they’re leaving, but we will still help them find employment or apprenticeships.”

Josh and Matt are already both working, so look out for them around Calderdale as they both work for ISS - Josh as a porter and Matt in Ingleton Falls.

Tracey added: “We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive THANKS to all the staff at CHFT, ISS and CHS who have helped and supported our interns this year.

“We couldn’t do it without you - you have made such a difference to these young people in a positive way. The staff have been amazing once again and made the year a memorable one for the young people we support and helping us to get them ready to find meaningful paid employment.”

The team are ready to go again this coming September, so if you want to get involved, or think your ward/department could support an intern or just fancy a chat to find out more then please get in touch. Email ProjectSEARCH@calderdale.ac.uk
