Members of our local Maternity Voices Partnership (MVP) were invited into maternity services last week to support a '15 step challenge'.
The national, co-produced toolkit provides feedback on what the first 15 steps of any maternity area looks and feels like.
The day was led jointly by our MVP chair, Rhona Mulvill - a local mother with both previous and recent experience of maternity services - and CHFT maternity and neonatal services.
All the MVP volunteers have either had a baby with us, or are currently receiving care. They gave us some fantastic feedback on how welcoming, friendly and calm our services were and also some great ideas for improvement.
Chief Executive, Brendan Brown, and Chief Nurse, Lindsay Rudge, also took the time to pop in on the day.
