Between now and Thursday, we join West Yorkshire Safeguarding Teams in an annual week of events, highlighting different areas of best practice, to help us all get better together. The team will be doing ‘walk arounds’ throughout the week – so keep an eye out for them in your area. They would be delighted to answer any safeguarding questions you may have.

Our Safeguarding Team has produced a brief newsletter for each day, based on a case study, written through the eyes of a patient.

Each has a focus on a key theme, including tips, learning and advice to support colleagues. And on Friday watch out for a special video round up created by the team.

More information is on the intranet pages here, and if you don’t have chance to visit the page every day, we’ve included the four different themed newsletters below for you to print out and discuss with your teams.

For example, today’s case study introduces you to Mary, who tells us about how her son has money issues and is living with her since coming out of prison. She gives her money to her son so he can take care of the bills, but she thinks she’s forgetful as he often tells her she’s not paid him.
