A reminder that we’re hosting free Suicide Awareness and Prevention sessions here at CHFT alongside other events across two days.

Mental Health Consultant, Ian Noonan said: “We’re fortunate to have been able to secure national suicide prevention charity Papyrus to run the free sessions. The charity is for suicide prevention in young people, but the training is for all ages. 

“There will be two sessions per day. Spaces are limited so please book through the links below.”

Suicide Prevention Overview Tutorial (SPOT)

Suicide Prevention – Explore, Ask, Keep-safe. An introduction to suicide prevention skills (SPEAK)

The other events are all free and are available for anyone to take part in. No need to book. Activities include:

  • Both days, 9am – 4pm: memorial and bereavement quilts on display in the Lecture Theatre and at the Learning Centre
  • Both days, 11:45am – 12:25pm: relaxation workshop provided by Kirklees NHS Talking Therapies. Taking place in Forum One
  • Friday, 30th June, 4pm – 4:45pm: a Service of Remembering and Reflecting. Facilitated by Lead Chaplain, Susan Naughton and Muslim Chaplain, Sister Zeenat Hussain. Taking place in the Lecture Theatre
