The hoardings are going up this week ahead of work starting on our new state-of the-art Learning Development Centre at Calderdale Royal Hospital. It also ties in with our Reconfiguration Programme getting a new look - and name, too.
The new, two-storey facility will be home to the library, training and seminar rooms and a wellbeing outdoor area.
Demolition starts a week today – next Monday 20 February – and will take around five weeks, ahead of the build itself.
Our reconfiguration programme’s new Foundations for our future branding is based around building blocks, but it represents much more than that. It will help us to communicate the various stages of our work to transform healthcare for our local communities.
Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Transformation and Partnerships, Anna Basford, said: “The site of the existing Learning and Development Centre will become part of all the new developments planned at CRH.
"It's an exciting and significant moment as we now have major works happening at both sites, with our new HRI A&E due to open this summer. The building blocks of our new brand represent a solid foundation for us to grow and improve services for our patients and the working environment for our colleagues."
