Staff Nurse Richard McArtney, pictured right, sprung into action when a patient couldn't get out of his car for an appointment - taking the care to him in his car at HRI.
Richard said: "Volunteer John Cottam, left, came up to the Urology Diagnostic Unit with Rita Mackenzie, who's husband Ian needed an important injection that day.
"She'd had problems coaxing Ian out of the car. John also tried to help, but sadly with his dementia he was really struggling on that day. So after discussing it with my Ward Manager, Sophie Mansfield-Holbrook - to make sure we could keep everything sterile - I offered to go and see him instead to deliver the injection.
"Sophie even joked that we might think about a drive-though service in future!"
What a lovely read for a Monday!
And As Valentine's Day is tomorrow we just had to share this super-cute image of John and his wife Alison.
The couple have been married for 33 years and like to volunteer together. Alison said: "It's lovely to volunteer together. It just works. Sometimes there are disagreements when we're giving directions (like any marriage), but what you have to do is respect each other."
