Now that the new car park (MCSP) has been open for a week, here are some reminders and extra information for our staff permit holders:
- Staff parking in the new multi-storey car park at CRH is only allocated to floors 3A, 4 and above. This allows our patients and visitors access to the lower floors. This also applies to colleagues who work nights or twilight shifts. We are monitoring usage across the whole of the car park closely over the coming weeks to ensure we have the balance of spaces correct. Thank you for your support.
- To avoid a potential parking charge notice, if you are unable to find a space, and as you would have before the new car park was built, please find an alternative space to park in the surrounding streets.
- There is a turning space on the top floor if there are no spaces available.
- If you are a Blue Badge holder, wherever possible please use the spaces on the staff floors first.
- Our Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system is in place across all our car parks. It is programmed by floor in the MSCP and recognises when permit holders park in patient and visitor spaces. There is no need for permit holders to add their vehicle's details into any of the payment machines as the ANPR will recognise your vehicle from your Nexus account.
- The EV charging spaces numbers 19-23 are private staff chargers, and colleagues need to be authorised on the Mer Connect app to use them
Please keep an eye on our FAQs on the all you need to know about our multi-storey car park intranet page. The FAQs will continue to be updated over the coming weeks.
