From tomorrow, Tuesday, 3rd November, colleagues will notice a brand-new look for our Policies and Documents Library – the repository for our policies, guidelines, strategies and more.

The upgrade will make it easier to search and will improve maintenance for colleagues who upload documents.

Whilst the Policies and Documents Library is hosted on our intranet, it’s a separate system built by colleagues in our Webteam and has different functionality. So the new dedicated visual design should help colleagues distinguish the Documentation Library from the intranet.

All existing links will still work for colleagues or teams who have used them on their intranet pages or in written guidance.

Web Development & Design Manager, Rebecca Wootton, said: “Alongside the new look and feel, we've improved search functionality, simplified the experience for both users and content editors, and introduced stronger review and reporting processes to support better governance and content management.

“Behind the scenes, the platform has also been updated to align with modern development standards and coding practices, ensuring a more reliable and sustainable service for the future.”

Huge thanks to Web Developer, Andrew Pheasey, for working alongside colleagues to understand their requirements and build the new system.

If you encounter any issues with the new Library from Tuesday, please log a job with The Service Desk.
