Our Orthopaedic department, Core Surgical Trainee, Rhys Johnson, Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant, Osman Riaz and Trauma and Orthopaedic Specialty Registrar, Ammer Jamjoom, recently organised a regional suturing skills course for colleagues.

Teams from across surgery and nursing were joined by FY1/2 doctors and senior SHOs to learn more about suturing from senior experts.

The session saw talks on suturing equipment and techniques followed by a hands-on session where participants could practice with kits.
