Our Endoscopy team recently hosted a West Yorkshire Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography Network (WYERN) meeting at CHFT, which was a brilliant success.
WYERN meetings are held every six months by different Trusts in the region, it was CHFT's first time hosting. The meetings provide an opportunity to support professional networking, the sharing of learning and the development of consistent standards across endoscopy services, with the overall aim of improving patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Colleagues involved in Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) procedures attended the event, including doctors, nurses and radiographers. Endoscopy Clinical Operations Manager, Jo Priston said: "WYERN brings endoscopy colleagues together to share ideas, learn from each other and grow in confidence. By connecting with teams across the region, we can bring fresh ideas back to CHFT, support one another and make a real difference to our colleagues and patients."
Thank you to our Gastroenterology Consultant Ankush Pawar, ERCP Lead Sister, Sylwia Kister, and Staff Nurse, Yaw Afrifa, for organising the event.
