Colleagues on Ward 6B at CRH are celebrating a whole host of achievements, including climbing to the top of the leaderboard for wristband scanning across the whole of the Trust.
Sister, Aimee Justice said: “This achievement is special as we have been on the leaderboard for two months and have finally reached the top position. This reflects our team's strong focus on patient identification, safety and compliance with essential procedures. Or colleagues are committed to keeping our patients safe and ensuring high standards in everything we do.”
There is much more to celebrate on the ward, including:
- Achieving 100% compliance in End-of-Life Care, demonstrating the dignity and respect the team provides to patients and their families at the hardest of times.
- Receiving 100% positive feedback from their student nurses, and:
- Celebrating Sister, Pawan Kaur, a finalist in two prestigious upcoming awards. Not only is Pawan a finalist in the Nursing Times Workforce Awards 2026, she is a finalist in three categories in the British Indian Nurses Association Awards, which take place this Friday, 30th October. Aimee added: “We wanted to share a huge thanks to our amazing Ward 6B team. All of these achievements have only been possible through their hard work, resilience and professionalism. Well done to everyone for your continued commitment, positivity and outstanding effort.
“I must add that Pawan is a true inspiration to our team, and we are incredibly proud of her achievements."
Pawan is a finalist in the Unsung Hero, Rising Star and Nurse of the Year categories in the British Indian Nurses Association Awards. She said: "I take pride that my compassion and passion for nursing has lead me on this wonderful journey. It wouldn’t have been possible without the people who have recognised my work and nominated me for these awards.
"I'm looking forward to bringing back these awards and making my family, colleagues and CHFT proud."
Good luck Pawan!
