The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, which now provides our Microbiology Laboratory services, has advised that there are currently delays to Faecal Calprotectin and Helicobacter pylori antigen testing while the service transition is completed.
The laboratory continues to process samples and actively manage the backlog.
The current backlog is approximately 7 days for H. pylori antigen testing and 12 days for Faecal Calprotectin testing. Please be assured that sample stability is not affected by these delays, and results will remain valid.
If urgent testing is required, please contact the laboratory and we will prioritise the sample where possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to restore normal service.
