This Wednesday, 14th October, we will be proudly celebrating Allied Health Professionals (AHP) Day, a perfect opportunity to shine a spotlight on the nine AHP professions we have at CHFT. Whether you are a support worker, assistant practitioner, registered professional, pre-registration apprentice, or a dedicated student, you are at the heart of this celebration.

The theme for this year is 'AHPs Deliver.' The AHP National Strategy is due to complete in 2027 as therapies transition towards a new professional strategy next spring. This strategy will set the long-term vision, direction and ambition for the 14 registered professions within health and care, aligned with national policy.

Associate Director of Therapies and Chief AHP, Christine Beck, said: “AHP Day gives us an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the remarkable people who make up our AHP workforce at CHFT.

"Across our hospitals, outpatient settings and community services, AHPs bring expertise, innovation and compassion to everything they do. From improving patient outcomes and reducing inequalities, to developing new ways of working and supporting the next generation of professionals, our teams continue to lead positive change every day. I am immensely proud of the contribution our AHPs make to patients, families and colleagues, and grateful for the passion and dedication they bring to their roles across Team CHFT."
