We have eight new Project SEARCH interns who started their journey in September and are settling in well. A few have already started their work placements and are making a fantastic impact. We have interns on the Day Procedure Unit, facilities warehouse in Elland, Pharmacy Stores and Ward 5 in HRI, with more placements still to come.

Project SEARCH is a supported internship programme for young people aged 16-24 with additional support needs, designed to help them develop work skills and move into paid employment. It is delivered in partnership with Calderdale College and Calderdale Local Authority.

A huge thank you so much to all our colleagues who have made the interns feel so welcome, provided training for them and made them feel like part of the team. If you see them around, please say hello.
