As part of the national NHS winter immunisation campaign, people over 65 or with certain health conditions are annually invited to attend a clinic at their GP to have their flu vaccine. Similarly, pregnant women may also attend a midwife-led clinic for theirs.
If you attend a vaccination clinic outside of work, please tell us by self-declaring using our quick form.
Head of Occupational Health, Pam Wood, said: “As an asthmatic needing a steroid inhaler, I am invited every year to attend my GP.
“In fact, anyone with long-term health conditions such as heart disease, kidney disease, liver disease diabetes and others will be invited. So when I’ve been to my GP, I always complete my self-declaration.
“Part of our commitment as an NHS organisation is to demonstrate that we’ve offered the free vaccine the healthcare workers we support at the Trust. By filling in the self-declaration form we have confidence that our colleagues are better protected and helping to keep those around them safer, including our patients and their own loved ones.”
