This week public parking charges at CRH and HRI will increase for the first time since 2024, to bring them in line with other regional NHS Trusts and increased inflation.
At HRI, prices will change on Tuesday, 15th September. At CRH, prices will change on Thursday, 17th September.
The new charges for patients and visitors will be:
- 20 minutes – free of charge for drop-offs and pick-ups
- Up to 2 hours: £4
- Between 2 and 4 hours: £6
- Between 4 and 6 hours: £7.50
- More than 6 hours: £9.50
There is no increase in colleague parking charges. We will continue to offer free parking for some people in line with national guidance, including for Blue Badge holders (including colleagues), people who attend outpatient clinics regularly to manage long-term conditions and parents of children staying in hospital overnight.
All the income we receive from car parking at Calderdale Royal Hospital, Huddersfield Royal Infirmary and Acre Mills Outpatients is reinvested back into our hospital services.
EV chargers are available at HRI which will be charged at £0.55/ kWh at both CRH and HRI, which is a small increase on the current charge. This brings CHFT in line with other regional NHS Trusts and increased costs of utilities.
