There is now a dedicated physiotherapist in occupational health to help colleagues with MSK related problems.

Our newly appointed Occupational Health Physiotherapist, Matt Schofield – pictured - is running dedicated clinics for colleagues with musculoskeletal problems. Colleagues can self-refer to Matt via the online referral form to book an appointment.

Appointments are in the occupational health department at Calderdale Royal Hospital every Monday and Friday and in the outpatient’s physio department at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary every Tuesday. Colleagues can select their preference on the referral form. Please note, these are not drop-in sessions.

Matt explains what to expect from your appointment: “When coming to Occupational Health Physiotherapy we will discuss the musculoskeletal problem you are currently struggling with, how this is impacting both your work and your life. Once we've gathered all the information, we’ll go through different movements and tests to see what is physically happening with the body and how we can help this.

“Once the assessment is complete, we will sit down and discuss to see how physiotherapy can help your problem and how we can move forwards collaboratively."
