A poster produced by CHFT’s Dr Lovely Thomas scooped the top prize at the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Regional Trainees' Annual Conference.

Dr Thomas and colleagues Dr. Moustafa Wahby, Dr. Krithika Kumar – pictured - all had posters accepted for the prestigious event. Dr Thomas’s focused on the effectiveness of vaginal cleansing prior to caesarean-section. Dr Wahby’s was on the management of Endometrial hyperplasia. And Dr Kumar’s was a case study on an uncommon presentation of a common surgical emergency in pregnancy.

Dr Thomas won a £100 gift card. She said: "Winning was a great and satisfying experience. I would like to thank my colleagues and consultants - especially Miss Shamsudin, who provided invaluable support during my audit and also Miss Verghese and my educational supervisor,  Miss Saqib, for encouraging me to present the poster for the conference."
