Next Monday, 31st August the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team will be moving to a temporary home on Ward 6D at CRH. The team are moving to 6D until the end of September to support with drainage work that needs to happen as part of the work happening at CRH to create a new maternity floor. The team aim to be operational on Ward 6D from the afternoon on Monday, 31st August.

The team will be informing patients who need to attend SDEC about the temporary relocation.

CRH A&E Matron, Leanne Baziw, said: “Thank you to the SDEC team for their support with the temporary move. With the SDEC being directly below the maternity floor we wanted to help out and be flexible to allow the drainage work to happen as quickly as possible. There is lots going on at CRH at the moment, and with the new hospital build starting later this year, it’s important that we can all support one another where possible. Thank you again to colleagues for being so accommodating.”
