Yorkshire-based Watsons Building Services have waved their magic wand to send 16 colleagues from our Maternity Team to the Maternity Bereavement Appeal Ball. Being held on Saturday, 26th September, The Moorlands Inn, Odgen, the ball will bring people together for a special evening of music, celebration and delicious food, all in aid of our Maternity Bereavement Appeal.

LDRP coordinator, Natalie Gledhill, told us: "I think we would probably all just say what an amazing, kind gesture! We were all really shocked and grateful for the tickets, it is a lovely way to finish off a real team effort that helped bring the unit and team together whilst raising vital funds for the bereavement suite."

Watsons Building Services also supported the team to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks last month. Managing Director cross Fairy Godfather, Dean Peltier, said: "We are proud to support CHFT Charity and the incredible work they do for our local communities.

"Our decision to support in this way is driven by a deep appreciation for the care, compassion and commitment shown every day by the NHS teams who support families when they need it most. In particular, we wanted to recognise the hardworking midwives whose dedication, reassurance and professionalism make such a meaningful difference to parents, babies and families across Calderdale and Huddersfield.

"Midwives are there during some of life’s most important and emotional moments, often working long hours with quiet strength, kindness and resilience. Their work can sometimes go unseen, but its impact is felt forever by the families they care for.

"As a local business, we believe it is important to give back to the communities that support us. Sponsoring CHFT Charity is our way of saying thank you and helping to contribute, in a small way, to the continued care and support provided to local families.

"We are honoured to play a part in supporting this fantastic cause and extend our sincere thanks to every midwife and NHS professional who continues to make such a positive difference every single day.”

Tickets are available for the ball, and include a 10% discount for CHFT colleagues if you use the code NHS10MBA. Get your tickets for what promises to be a special evening on the CHFT Charity website
