A high number of negative pressure therapy VAC pumps are being removed from the medical services stores and not being activated. These pumps are rented from Solventum and unless they are informed that a VAC pump is in use, we do not get a replacement. This could potentially result in us having no VAC pumps available for use.

Please order and activate VAC pumps correctly, by following the process outlined in the attached document. Once a device is activated, please email the details to our Tissue Viability Team.
