You might have seen our CHFT News special last Friday, following the CHuFT Awards which were held on Thursday, 2nd July. Congratulations again to all the winners, finalists and everyone nominated.
A congratulations also goes to our Organisational Development Team, who each year pull it out of the bag to deliver a special evening for our colleagues. The team aren't strangers to being nominated either, with a total of 14 nominations for this year's Awards between Chloe Goodwin, Frances Dowson, Georgia Parsonage, James Teal and Lee Anderson (pictured).
From opening the nominations right through to the awards evening itself, there's a lot that goes on behind the scenes. We grabbed a moment with the team just before the ceremony to ask them about what the awards mean to them.
James told us how it feels watching it all come together: "It feels amazing. It's a lot of work, more than you think when you come to the Awards. You get a real sense of satisfaction on the night."
Frances shared her favourite moments: "Seeing when people come through the doors and are having the most fantastic time. And then at the end of the night and everybody is still on the dance floor and still having lots of fun - that's the highlight."
Chloe told us that her favourite moment is: "Seeing the winners up on stage, and that group photo at the end is so nice in seeing it all come together."
It doesn't stop there for the team, who will be taking CHuFT on the Road to make sure that every single person nominated is recognised for their achievements.
There are also a few others who we would like to thank following the awards:
...everyone who put forward a nomination
This year we had a record breaking 451 entries for our CHuFT Awards. The success of the awards are down to the time and effort of colleagues to put in a nomination. Congratulations to everyone who was nominated and thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
...our finalists
For coming to the Awards and a huge congratulations to all shortlisted nominees for their work.
...our judges
Who volunteered their time to help shortlist the finalists, and decide the final winners. You represent colleagues and services from across clinical and non-clinical services, and went above and beyond to do this above your day jobs.
...all our colleagues
You all do wonderful work every day, and without you and your commitment to our patients, and one another, our CHuFT Awards wouldn’t be possible.
and finally...our generous sponsors
Our Awards were fully sponsored too, and without the generous donations from Equans Albany (Calderdale Hospital SPC), Laing O'Rourke, AECOM, Arcadis and ISS, we wouldn’t have been able to put on such a fantastic celebration. Thank you.
