The demolition of the DATs building on North Drive at HRI is due to start on Wednesday, 8th July. Over the last few weeks the area has been cordoned off for safety and the internal fixtures and fittings within the building have been removed. 

The demolition is expected to take around four weeks. The teams who were previously based in the building have been relocated to refurbished office accommodation within the HRI building, as the building has deteriorated and is no longer practical to use. 

Clinical services opposite the building and the nursery have been advised on mitigations during the demolition, which include keeping windows closed. Notices have been put on the windows affected.
