Volunteers’ Week runs until this Wednesday, when all are invited to a special appreciation event and our first-ever Volunteer of the Month Award will also be handed out.
Our volunteers provide their time for free and cover a range of roles to support our patients and colleagues, delivering One Culture of Care. It's great to know that we have a number of younger volunteers coming forward as part of their career development too.
Eve Clark, pictured, is one of our young volunteers, working with us as part of her college T-Levels. She's ultimately aiming to have a career in Cardiothoracic Surgery, and volunteering is giving her a great insight into caring for patients.
