Surgical Typist and Plastic Surgery Admin Clerk, Sarah Holroyd, pictured middle, has been selected as Calderdale College's Apprentice of the Year, following a call to local employers to nominate as part of Apprentice Week back in February.
Sarah, who has since graduated from the programme, said: "Thank you so much for your kind words and support. I am a bit in shock, but I am very proud of my achievements and progress.
"This has only been possible due to the amazing support from my work team, that I am so honoured and lucky to be working with. Everyone has taken their time to teach and guide me, a newbie to admin. Once again, a big thank you to you all for your congrats, and being amazing people."
She's pictured with her line manager Alexia Peacock and Flexible Workforce colleague, Faris Ullah, who Sarah says 'has always been willing to support and help with whatever he can'.
Sarah also works closely with Melissa Whitwam, Clare Barker and Tracy Greenroyd. She said:"They are all fantastic people that have helped me learn different areas of my role."
Sarah also achieved a Distinction for her Customer Service Practitioner Apprenticeship in May.
Sarah is pictured below with her sister who is Waiting List Manager, Linzi Hanson, who added: "I'm so very proud of my sister for what she has achieved."

In a very short space of time Sarah has proven to be an invaluable member of our team, consistently going above and beyond her role to ensure our patients are dealt with and seen in a timely and professional manner.
She has had a huge positive impact on the service and this has been noticed by colleagues, consultants and upper management. Since starting with our department, our long waiters list has been reduced which allows us to focus on other areas that need improvement.
Sarah is an absolute pleasure to work with, very efficient, thinks ahead and has suggestions and solutions to help the service going forward. We feel very lucky that Sarah’s apprenticeship has been with us in our office.
