Our AHP Preceptorship officially launches next Monday, 12th June after months (and months!) of meticulous planning as part of both local and national initiatives to support our newly graduated, international, and return to practice AHP recruits through their first 12 months at CHFT.
Linking together with our Nursing and Midwifery colleagues within Clinical Education – in addition to AHP Leads across Yorkshire and beyond – a programme has been carefully created to provide our AHP colleagues with a bespoke offering placing career development and pastoral care at the forefront.
Our AHP Senior Clinical Educator, Arley Byrne - pictured - is leading the AHP Preceptorship. He'll be on hand throughout the coming weeks to answer any questions and officially roll the programme out across our teams – look out for a short bloke with a moustache armed with our brand new Preceptorship books!
Associate Director of Therapies, Jenny Clark, said: “We are really excited to launch preceptorship at CHFT. Arley has worked with colleagues across the wider organisation, local universities and external partners across Calderdale and Kirklees to develop a user friendly tool which will provide those in their first years of post-registration employment the guidance and evidence needed to optimise their development and employment experience.”
