Last week, colleagues involved in developing plans for the new multi-storey car park at CRH visited the site to see how it is progressing. They were joined by Chief Executive Rob Aitchison, Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Transformation and Partnerships, Anna Basford, and Director of Finance, Stuart Baron.

During the visit, colleagues also signed the back of one of the terracotta tiles, to mark the occasion.

Whilst on the tour, colleagues looked at the ground floor - where you can see the pedestrian entrance from the corner of Salterhebble and Dryclough Lane, which will run through the car park and to the large cycle storage and maintenance area. They also walked up to the top of the car park, taking in the impressive views across Calderdale. They also caught a glimpse of the views which you will be able to see when walking in the stairwells through the glass panels.  

Senior Facilities Manager, Andy Mould, who colleagues will know from being one of the key people behind setting up the Park and Ride and Shuttle Service, said: "On the top floor of this car park, you can really see how big it is going to be. It's been great to see our Park and Ride and Shuttle Service thrive and so many colleagues using the service. Having worked at CHFT for over 10 years, I know this new car park will make such a huge difference - it is a credit to everyone involved for getting it so close to completion."

Rob Aitchison said: "It's only when you come on site that you can really see the scale of the developments happening at CRH, and this is just the beginning. I know the new car park is going to make a huge difference to our patients and their visitors, whilst continuing to promote sustainable travel through access to fantastic bike facilities and public transport too. It'll be exciting to see the pace of the work in the next few months to get ready for opening."
