From Wednesday, 8th July 2026, we will be moving to the Sarstedt Monovette boric acid urine collection system for urine microscopy and culture with a complete changeover to the new system from September 2026.

After Monday, 31st August 2026 the red top boric acid urine containers and the white top sterile universal containers will no longer be accepted for urine microscopy and culture. This change is part of a wider standardisation programme across West Yorkshire.
