As the weather hots up, colleagues will be able to collect scrubs. Ward Managers have received an email this morning, Monday, 22nd June, explaining the process. Please remember to return scrubs as soon as possible so that others can access them.

It's important to look after yourself in the heat, so a reminder:

• keep windows and curtains closed on wards and departments where possible
• stay out of the sun at the hottest time of the day (11am - 3pm)
• don't forget to apply sun cream regularly
• drink plenty of fluids
• check on people who might be at risk of becoming unwell in the heat
• know the symptoms of heat exhaustion / heatstroke and what to do
