At CHFT we are proud to support Armed Forces Week, which starts today, Monday, 22nd June, and Armed Forces Day this Saturday, 27th June. It is an opportunity to recognise and thank the Armed Forces community for their service and dedication.

Throughout the week, communities and organisations across the UK come together to show their support and appreciation for our Armed Forces, including those currently serving, veterans, reservists, cadets and their families and to acknowledge the important role they play in keeping the country safe.

CHFT is committed to the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, recognising that there can be challenges to healthcare access and experience for the Armed Forces Community. We also value the skills, experience and dedication that members of the Armed Forces community bring into the NHS workforce, and we are proud to be a Forces Friendly employer.

To celebrate Armed Forces Week, CHFT will be hosting a number of activities across our sites, any colleagues is welcome to join:

  • Tuesday, 23rd June, 13:00 to 13:30: Caring for the Armed Forces Community CPD session, The Boardroom, Sub Basement, HRI – book your space here. Further information can be found in the attached poster.
