People with a learning disability are more likely to experience poorer health outcomes and can often be invisible in systems, communications and waiting lists. This week is about recognising that and taking action.
Learning Disability Week is organised by Mencap and runs from today, Monday, 15th June to Sunday, 21st June. During the week they celebrate what people with a learning disability bring to society.
See below some activities and resources in support of Learning Disabilities Week.
Autism Reality Bus
Experience how hospital environments can feel for people with autism with the autism reality bus. It will be in the main car park at HRI on Thursday 18 June between 10:00 - 15:30.
The bus will be coming to CRH in September.
