Pre-operative Assessment Sister, Sue Hinton, is raising funds for 4Louis following their support when her son, Theo, was sadly stillborn at 26 weeks.
4Louis provide cuddle cots to hospitals and hospices for parents to use when they have lost their babies during or after birth.
Sue said: “What was a traumatic time was eased by the fact that we had a cuddle cot to use at CRH - it meant our family members got to come and meet Theo and ultimately say goodbye. It also allowed us to create memories we wouldn't have otherwise been able to make.
“I’m aiming to raise £1200, which funds one cuddle cot for the Forget Me Not Hospice, but obviously I’d love to raise more.
“I have a Just Giving page so that funds go directly to the 4Louis Charity and I’m also hosting some event in June and August.
Sue and her family and friends are planning more events over the summer to raise funds for this important cause. They include an afternoon tea with a raffle and more, a garden party, and working with a local bookshop in Slaithwaite and Marsden to run a book swap.
Sue is also looking to run a raffle in the pre-op assessment department.
Sue added: “Me and my husband feel so passionate about this that we’ll top up any shortfall personally to ensure that a cuddle cot is purchased.”
If anyone has any items that they can donate to be used as raffle prizes, tombola prizes or for the book sale, please get in touch with Sue.
