Clinical Director of Pharmacy, Lis Street, is taking on the challenge of a lifetime by trekking 52km over five days to raise money for Forget Me Not Children's Hospice in June.
Lis will be completing the trek in Peru scaling 3,650m to Phuyupatam and then to Machu Picchu along the Inca Trail, camping for three nights along the way. She said: "I'm trying not to be nervous, but I am! It's all for a very worthy cause, Forget Me Not Hospice, who are worth every step."
"I am a trustee at the children's hospice and hear first-hand about the amazing work they do. They showed us around their Snowflake Suite which is like a self-contained apartment where they have a room for a bed, cot and then a relatives bedroom and kitchen. There they can make footprints and keepsakes for a memory box. I feel honoured to be a part of their organisation."
