The CHS Sustainability Team recently held a photography competition to celebrate Earth Day and the launching of this year's Sustainability Survey.
There were more than 70 submissions to the competition, and after much deliberation, three winners have been chosen by the team:
1st- Orthopaedic Clinical Support Worker, Elizabeth Scanlon
Elizabeth said: "This picture was taken while on a walk with my camera. I go out regularly with my camera to help de-stress on my days off, there is nothing better than being out watching nature. It brings me peace."
2nd- Clinical Support Worker, Georgie Ward
Georgie said: "My dog sadly passed away and the next day I had a robin that sat on my garden fence all afternoon and I managed to capture it flying away!"
3rd- Speicalist Biomedical Scientist, Willard Dzinyemba
Willard said: "My picture is a sunrise view from a window in HRI Biochemistry at the end of a night shift."
Special mention - HRI Estates, Dean Nugent
This photo wasn’t taken in Calderdale or Huddersfield (which is what the team were looking for) but beautifully captures the striking landscape of the Scottish Highlands.
Thank you to everyone who participated.
There's still time to have your say on sustainability and help shape the way we improve in the Sustainability Survey which is open until this Friday.
