On Wednesday it's World Bee Day, and since our Charity's mascot is a bee, (called Bee-lieve), they are celebrating with a series of events throughout the week. All colleagues are encouraged to get involved in the activities running across both sites.

Scavenger hunt - starting today

Colleagues can take part by collecting an answer sheet from the main entrances at both hospital sites. There are 10 bee-themed clues hidden in public-facing areas (no clinical areas), and participants will need to find each clue and record their answers.
Once completed, forms can be returned to the main entrance desk or charity office.

All completed entries will be entered into a prize draw, with a small prize for the winner. The hunt will run throughout the week and close on Friday.

Kindness Wall - all week

Located in main entrances, allowing colleagues, patients and visitors to share physical messages of gratitude and appreciation which they can then place on the wall.

The aim is to encourage staff engagement, celebrate kindness, and recognise the fantastic contributions of our teams.

Information stalls - Monday, 18th May

The stalls will be available on Monday only, located in the main entrances at both hospital sites. These are to help launch the week, promote the scavenger hunt, and raise awareness of World Bee Day - with some themed items available.

Fundraising Recognition Awards - Wednesday 20th May

The charity will be recognising several colleagues who have gone the extra mile in fundraising, community engagement, or supporting patient experience.

Winners will be contacted directly and presented with their award in their department, keeping it informal and accessible.
The fundraising team are going to choose the winners.
