CHFT's Communications Team is based at Acre Mills, Huddersfield. The team of four serve colleagues across the Trust, and provide support on all things comms, including internal communications, branding, media and reputation management. You'll often see one of the team rushing around chasing a story, or grabbing a last minute picture for a campaign!
Whether you are launching a service, engaging colleagues on a change, celebrating a success or navigating a challenge, the communications team is here to support you.
You might want support from the communications team if you are:
- Planning a change or project and need help communicating it
- Looking to engage colleagues or stakeholders
- Wanting to promote a success, event or campaign
- Unsure how best to share information or which channels to use
- Dealing with a media enquiry
The team have pulled together a series of facts and figures below for 2025. For example, the stories in CHFT News were read more than a quarter of a million times last year.
Meet the team
Amy Campbell, Head of Communications
“The best thing about working in communications is how varied your day can be, and my favourite part is helping shine a light on the fantastic work of our colleagues. At a time when AI is transforming the communications landscape, our role in applying judgement, context and humanity is vital. I am lucky to work alongside three very talented and dedicated communications professionals who put their all into everything they do.”
Kamal Wrathall, Head of Communications for Reconfiguration
"It is genuinely lovely being part of a team that are so passionate about all things comms, and supporting the fantastic work that teams across CHFT are doing day in day out. We all have our special skills and areas of expertise which means when we work together, we get results!"
Jacqui Booth, Communications Manager
"Internal communications has been my passion for 20 years, 11 of them here at CHFT, and I love supporting our colleagues with their communications. Whether it’s sharing inspirational stories, getting into the nitty gritty of interpreting technical information, or helping promote Trust campaigns like our brilliant CHuFT Awards, I just can’t see myself working anywhere else or doing anything else."
Meg Litjens, Communications Officer
"I'm the video one! You'll often see me wearing a backpack bigger than I am as I head off to my next video shoot. Whilst videography is my main passion, I thoroughly enjoy every aspect about working in communications. I love that I get to be creative every day, whether that's through designing screensavers, posing people for photographs or writing articles for CHFT News. It's an honour to share all of your stories - whatever the format."
