This week we are celebrating Colleague Appreciation Week - a dedicated opportunity to recognise, thank and celebrate the everyday contributions of our colleagues across the Trust.

The week is all about promoting a positive culture, building trust and reinforcing how much every role matters in delivering compassionate care to our patients, service users and to each other. It’s a chance to pause, reflect and say thank you – not just for big achievements, but for the little things that make a real difference.

Throughout the week, colleagues will be encouraged to share appreciation by writing thank you cards for one another. There will also be Colleague Appreciation Week stalls at each site, where colleagues can enjoy sweet treats, take part in our Wheel of Appreciation for a chance to win a small token of thanks, and pass on a random act of kindness to someone else. If you need a supply of thank you cards, reach out to odteam@cht.nhs.uk and they will get you stocked up.

Managers and teams will also have access to a Colleague Appreciation Week Recognition Toolkit, offering simple ideas and resources to help recognise and celebrate achievements within their own departments.

Whether it’s a kind word, a card, or a moment of recognition, Colleague Appreciation Week is about coming together to celebrate one another and continue building a supportive, positive culture across our Trust.
