The recruitment for volunteer Independent Custody Visiting Volunteers (ICVs) is now open.

ICVs are volunteer members of the local community who work, live or study in West Yorkshire. They visit the custody suites in each of the five districts around West Yorkshire unannounced to check on detention conditions, detainee welfare and procedures to provide transparency and reassurance to the public that people in police custody are being treated fairly and with respect.
