Huge congratulations to Procurement Team colleagues, Lynsey Anchor (left) and Hazel Brauner (right) pictured with Head of Procurement Cheryl Gibbons.
They've won the 'Above and Beyond' category at the North of England Skills Development Network Awards. The pair, along with former colleague, Rebecca Halstead, were nominated for being excellent examples of team players, who daily go above and beyond what is expected.
Cheryl said "The reason for nominating as a team of three is that it is impossible to nominate one of them over the other two. All have recently stepped up to take on additional work in the department, coupled with increased challenges due to staff shortages.
"They have helped one another during this time and their team work has paid off, as together they have helped support, not only their own teams, but other departments as well. They are the first people to offer help and assistance to colleagues, quietly helping others, whilst not asking for praise or recognition.
"Commiserations to the Materials Management Team, but an overall win for CHS Procurement."
The awards acknowledge the importance of procurement management, together with the vital contribution that procurement staff play in the delivery of high quality, cost effective healthcare. In addition to celebrating excellence, the awards provide an opportunity to highlight and spread best practise.
