Our Quality and Safety Team are running some practical courses to support report writing and systems process training after the success of previous sessions.
The report writing sessions are one-day practical skills courses which equip colleagues with essential skills to confidently prepare and write up a formal report.
During this course, colleagues will engage in practical, hands-on learning that focuses on creating a psychologically safe environment for team members, while reviewing real incident investigation reports. It will also cover witness statement writing for Coroner's inquests and excellence in contemporaneous record keeping.
The systems process training sessions are a one-day practical skills course which is case study led and will give colleagues the skills to investigate and review care provided. All patient safety incidents will be undertaken by investigators/learning response leads who have been on the one-day course. This training meets the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) requirements.
