Our first four CHuFT Awards Golden Ticket winners were announced last week from the list of colleagues who have already been nominated.
In a change this year, Golden Ticket winners will be able to take a colleague with them on Thursday, 2nd July to The Arches, Dean Clough, in Halifax, to experience the inspirational and fun ceremony which showcases the very best of what our colleagues do here at CHFT.
Ward 6 HRI Staff Nurse, Shelter Gombingo, pictured centre in the group photo, was one of the lucky four. She'll be at the Awards with her plus one, Staff Nurse, Prudence Chapepa.
Shelter said: "This is not my first time nominating someone, and I am delighted to have had this opportunity to nominate a colleague once again. I feel it is a sincere gesture of appreciation for my colleagues’ unwavering dedication and support, which has been a beacon of positivity."
Surgical Matron, Sarah Wallwork, pictured right, also won a Golden Ticket. Sarah said: "It was really about taking a moment to recognise the brilliant things people are doing every day.
"In busy services it’s easy to move from one thing to the next, but there are so many examples of kindness, teamwork and professionalism happening across our teams that deserve to be seen and celebrated. Submitting a nomination felt like a simple way to acknowledge that and say thank you properly. Hopefully it encourages others to do the same. There are so many people across the Trust who deserve recognition."
Congratulations to our other winners, Admin Assistant, Medical Secretaries, Donna Sutcliffe and Midwife, Evie Hough.

Draws will take place weekly for colleagues who enter a nomination for the CHuFT Awards. The dedicated Awards portal has guidance on writing a nomination and you can save it if you are called away from your desk.
Our general ballot for Golden Tickets will open on Monday, 20th April, so keep an eye out for more information in CHFT News.
